Hi I am located in Metro West and I have been developing scripts and websites in PHP/MySQL for at least 8 years now, mostly on personal projects.

I know HTML/PHP/MySQL/Javascript/CSS/jQuery/Ajax very well having taught myself over these years and I love learning new languages and just pushing the boundaries of what is possible with a website.

However I am a little reluctant to respond to many of the job offers in this field because 1) I’ve never made a resume before because I’ve always been self-employed and 2) I don’t know a whole lot about Linux/Apache type stuff directly. But I am sure I could understand it easily I’ve just never needed to know much about it because I would always have my host install things onto my server(s).

I have enough experience for an advanced position but there are certains things I’m not very fluent in.

Could you tell me if I would still be able to qualify for a position like this? Whether it be with you guys if there are positions still open or another company with a similiar listing on craigslist.

Do you ever get any ColdFusion projects? I am a ColdFusion/MySQL developer who also knows some PHP. I do a lot of development in LAMP.

I am medically retiring from the US army and looking to start programming/scripting rather then large networks. I am not a artistic person but logical and problem solving.

Thanks for your time and I am looking forward to your call. Art.
